Food
72-hour supply of non-perishable, highcalorie rations (MREs, energy bars, dehydrated food).
Food is secondary to water in short-term crises.
Shelter & Warmth
Blanket/Emergency Bivvy, Large Dark Trash Bags (poncho/ground cover), Paracord, Duct Tape.
Trash bags provide a low-profile alternative to a bright tarp.
First Aid & Health
IFAK/Trauma Kit (Tourniquet, Pressure Dressing), Standard FAK, Prescription Meds (7+ day supply), Pain/Anti-diarrhea meds.
Trauma items are critical for urban injuries.
Tools & Fire
Multi-tool, Fixed-blade or Folding Knife, At least three fire sources (lighter, matches, Ferro rod). A knife and multi-tool are vital for utility and defense.
